If you’re filing your taxes for the first time as a self-employed individual, here’s what you should be thinking on:

  • Don’t expect much of a refund, if any…
  • … And be prepared to owe…
  • But remember! It could be much worse!
  • That said, claim! Claim! Claim!
  • Plan for next year.
