Introducing Payments: A Simple Way to Get Paid (and Reduce Paperwork)

By April 6, 2017November 23rd, 2023No Comments

No small business owner looks forward to filing taxes. At Kashoo our mission is to make tax time a lot less stressful. This means reducing the amount of time you spend entering transactions with features like Automatic Bank Feeds, and ensuring you haven’t missed anything with our Bank Reconciliation feature.

And now we’ve done it again!

Introducing payments. Simplify your paperwork. Simplify your taxes.

This week we’re proud to introduce a new online payments solution to simplify collecting and recording payments for service-based businesses or businesses with service-based transactions.

If you’ve ever tried to setup a merchant account or online payments for your business you quickly realize how complicated and expensive it is. We’ve simplified everything by making it as easy as selecting “Allow Credit Card Payment” and sending an invoice. Then your clients can conveniently make a payment with their Visa, MasterCard, or American Express card. Not only does this give your clients an easy way to pay, this will also help YOU get paid faster!

The real magic happens behind the scenes when Kashoo records the transaction. Your sales income, taxes, and transaction fees are automatically categorized and tracked accordingly. Come quarterly tax time, you will have properly accounted for everything, and figuring out how much tax you have to pay is as simple as pressing a button! You’ll also have peace of mind knowing that all of your income is properly recorded, along with any additional taxes you may need to collect.

How does this new payment system work?

If you’re a Kashoo user in Canada or the United States you will need to go to “Settings > Invoicing and Payments” within your Kashoo business. Once enabled, you will see the option to allow credit card payments on invoices that you create. And after saving your invoice, simply email that invoice to a client and they will receive an email with both a payment link as well as a PDF copy of your invoice.

The cost?

The fees are some of the best in the Payments game; 2.9% + $0.30 regardless of card type. So if you want to allow payments from Visa, MasterCard, or American Express with your Kashoo account, you can!

Be prepared for next year – this year!

Now is the time to get ready for next year’s tax season. Start using Payments in Kashoo and ensure that all of your income, sales tax, and transaction fees are complete and accurately tracked.
